Barbara Cestaro graduated in Law from Bologna’s University in 1998. After joining the Venice Bar Association, she founded the law firm Studio Legale Dragone e Avvocati Associati Loffredo e Cestaro together with Massimo Dragone and Roberto Loffredo, colleagues of longstanding experience.

Barbara assists the clients mainly in the field of civil law, both in amicable and judicial settlements, with a specific focus on family law, inheritance and succession law, labor law, civil responsibility and compensation for damages, also in cases of medical negligence and healthcare.

Notably, Barbara has developed a wide breadth of experience in family law, especially in personal separation and divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships and cohabitation, and in related issues of custody of children and financial contribution. She has been member of the Italian Association of Family Attorneys (AIAF Veneto).

In labor law, she has successfully brought to court cases of mobbing, unfair dismissal, legal qualification of the work contract, wage differences, recognition of social allowances.

In the field of medical malpractice, Barbara has worked in a collective legal action gathering the compensation claims of many victims of infected blood and vaccinations.

She has contributed to the publication of the book: “Responsabilità medica: danni da trasfusione e da contagio” by Massimo Dragone, Giuffrè, 2007 and has collaborated with the website, commenting leading judgments and writing articles.

Barbara participated as a speaker in conferences and seminars dealing with issues related to Family Rights and Medical Negligence, such as: I patti di famiglia”, organised in  2006 by ANCE at Hotel Laguna Palace in Venezia Mestre and Decurtazione ed interruzione dell’adeguamento degli indennizzi per danni da trasfusione: cosa fare?” organised in  2010 in collaboration with Associazione Emofilici delle Tre Venezie at Centro Culturale Candiani in Venezia Mestre.

Barbara attended the training course on EU law: “Corso di diritto dell’Unione Europea”, organised in 2010 by Consiglio dell’Ordine degli Avvocati di Venezia and partecipated in many saminars, such as: Nuove questioni patrimoniali nella famiglia in crisi” organised by  A.I.A.F. Sezione di Venezia

Since 2015 she is qualified to practice before the Supreme Court of Cassation and the High Courts.
