Roberto Loffredo graduated in Law from the University of Padova in 1994 and joined the Venice Bar Association in 1998. Aftewards, he founded the law firm Studio Legale Dragone e Avvocati Associati Loffredo e Cestaro together with Massimo Dragone and Barbara Cestaro, colleagues of longstanding experience.
Roberto has solid skills both in judicial and extra judicial settlements and in arbitration proceedings, especially in cases dealing with commercial and property law, civil liability, medical negligence and human rights protection.
Furthermore, he has gained considerable experience in the field of commercial criminal and criminal law, the latter in relation to cases of medical malpractice.
In the field of commercial law, he has dealt with issues concerning the responsibility of the managing director, the relationship between partners, patents, trademarks and copyrights, sale and lease of a company, contractual issues in general (interpretation, validity, performance, termination, etc), and has assisted clients in drafting the commercial contracts. Roberto has also been member and president of arbitration panels.
Roberto has worked in the field of real estate and property rights, gaining experience in cases of responsibility of the seller/contractor/director of works, purchase of real estate under construction, lease contract, and others.
As to civil responsibility, Roberto has assisted clients in compensation claims for personal injuries and professional responsibility.
In the field of medical responsibility, he has dealt with cases of medical malpractice (wrong and omitted diagnosis, hospital-acquired infections, wrong healthcare treatments) and has also worked in a collective legal action for the compensation of damage caused by infected blood.
He had dealt also with tax law issues. In criminal law, Roberto has worked on cases of fraudulent bankruptcy, criminal tax law, fraud, violation to the privacy and image rights, and medical malpractice.
Roberto is also member of: Unione Forense per la tutela dei diritti umani, Camera Arbitrale Immobiliare e Generale di Venezia, and has collaborated as a mediator at Mediazioni Sapienza s.r.l..
From 2015 to 2017 Roberto taught law as lecturer in the training course for “Tecnico superiore per il risparmio energetivo dell’edilizia sostenibile – progettazione esecutiva integrata”, organised by the ITS RED Foundation, in the field of real estate law and professional responsibility.
