In data 28.06. 2018 l’Avv.

On 28 June 2018, Avv. Massimo Dragone and Giovanni Fassina visited the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR). During the visit, Stefano Trevisan (currently trainee lawyer at ECCHR) coordinated round tables and a seminar.

ECCHR is a no-profit organization based in Berlin that promotes transnational litigation. Together with a large web of national partners lawyers worldwide, ECCHR initiates and supports high-impact cases, including civil and criminal proceedings. ECCHR focuses on cases with the greatest likelihood of setting precedents that strengthen human rights accountability, providing legal remedies for the victims.

During their visit, Avv. Massimo Dragone and Giovanni Fassina met with the Director of ECCHR Wolfgan Kaleck and with Miriam Saage-Maaß, vice legal director and coordinator of the Business and Human Rights Programme. They notably exchanged views and discussed experiences on human rights litigations before Italian judges, with specific regards to business-related human rights abuses. Furthermore, Giovanni Fassina gave a presentation on the results of a legal research project that he recently conducted in the Occupied Syrian Golan, on the exploitation of natural resources under international humanitarian law.

The participants welcomed this stimulating opportunity of sharing know-how and ideas, and addressed how to take forward collaborations in the future.
